Jennifer Michaels is CEO and Co-Founder of NorCal Seeds & Genetics (NSG), a private cannabis genetic resource organization built around an extensive repository of rare, legacy and proprietary genetics, breeding lines and preserved seed collections. A legacy cannabis entrepreneur with nearly three decades in the industry, Jennifer brings extensive experience building and leading cannabis ventures, developing strategic relationships and navigating the evolution of the cannabis industry. Her work today focuses on the intersection of cannabis genetics, genetic diversity, preservation, scientific validation and long-term industry development. At NSG, Jennifer leads strategy, scientific collaborations, strategic partnerships, industry engagement and communications as the organization connects its decades-built genetic resources and breeding intelligence with accession-level documentation, scientific characterization, genomic and chemical data and structured genetic information. Jennifer brings a perspective shaped by firsthand experience across multiple eras of the cannabis industry. She believes the future of cannabis depends not only on developing what comes next, but on understanding, validating and preserving the genetic diversity generations of breeders and cultivators worked to create.
